Demetrius “Coach D” Richardson had a tremendous impact on anyone he came in contact with. He spent the vast majority of his time giving back to the community by helping young people become the best that they could be and by helping them fulfill their goals and dreams. He expected nothing in return – the definition of selfless. He had the unique ability to make everyone feel like he believed in them. He was a bright, carefree, and loving individual who touched many, both inside and out of the Florida Basketball community. His love and passion for the game shone through in all he did. He believed in working hard and having fun while doing it. Coach D was a friend and positive influence to all that knew him. His infectious smile, enthusiastic approach to life and warm heart will live within us forever.
